Egdon Resources;
Achieved first gas flows at the Kirkleatham gas development in PEDL068 where it holds a 40% operated interest. It is expected that flow rates will be gradually ramped up to the maximum of around 5 million cubic feet of gas per day and 24 hour operations will commence in the coming weeks. The gas from Kirkleatham is sold to Sembcorp Utilities, the operator of the Wilton site for use in their GT2 gas turbine power plant. Egdon also completed drilling operations at the Keddington-4 well in Lincolnshire which was drilled as a re-entry and horizontal sidetrack from the Keddington-1Z donor well. Keddington-4 has now been completed for pumped production with a slotted liner over the entire horizontal section of the well. Production from the adjacent Keddington-3z well, which has been suspended for safety reasons during the drilling operations, will resume once Keddington-4 has been tested.

I am still awaiting emails and confirmation of the information on the above company. Should receive them some time today. Once they drop I will post immediately. Probably after the market closes. Unfortunately I have been delayed chasing them up due to another hack attempt with a backdoor virus keylogger that nearly got through. Such is life!

There’s a lot of emails requesting information on Desire Petroleums present true value post the Ninky well duster. The general consensus from the market is that a 7/8p intrinsic value is still inherent in the stock. However I would suggest that given the amount of data they now hold from the various failed drills down in the Falklands basin that a 10p minimum value is more realistic. After all information even from failures has a value. Exploration Oilers learn from it. The problem Desire have is that they DO NOT have sufficient funds to carry on drilling, the Desire plan is to shoot 3D seismic which hopefully shows oil anomalies thus allowing Desire to tap the market; unless they raise money from the city on the back of good seismic then it’s curtains.
They do still have in excess of $35 million dollars in funds. So although I see much … read more
It’s looking very good at Solo Oil. Retail punter interest is continuing to drive the sp towards 2p which i’m assured should be breached. Following production testing on Ausable5# the well will be connected to the existing central production facility and placed on production as an oil and natural gas liquids producer. The Company’s objective is to have the well on production within the next four weeks they will then push on (Due to the presence of extensive oil and natural gas liquid pay zones in the Ausable #5 well) to begin detailed scheduling for the drilling of the Ausable #6, #7, #8 and #9 wells and the expansion of the Ausable production facility. Currently it is hoped to complete this additional work by the end of 2011.
I’ve been getting some very positive feed-back not least from the company itself. I have spoken to Neil Ritson at length re’ … read more
