I’m gathering unconfirmed market whispers here that it is looking likely that the 14/10-5 appraisal well located just north of the Sea Lion 14/10-2 discovery well and 13 metres updip at top reservoir level. May be on the money . Reports are unconfirmed. The company, who I spoke to this morning refused to deny or confirm which tells me that news is on the way. The sp is acting as if news is leaking.
It’s unconfirmed but the source/s have proven to be accurate in the past. Now remember it is UNCONFIRMED so please do not jump in on the basis of this post!

At present I am trying to source some much-needed independent analysis on Range Resources from several of our contacts. I’ll keep subscribers posted as and when we get the news. Well done to all who down-loaded the recent RRL report. Over 2000 downloads! It just goes to show how collectively PI’s can level the playing field when they stick together. It’s all about gaining information and researching your investment plays. Great to see Range on a charge which I expect should continue as the news time-line gets ever closer on the big plays. Lot of market interest being encountered here. Traffic stats on the blog reveal some interesting city of London IP’s. Oh I have received an email from the provider of the RRL report requesting that I remove it under pain of death etc. So I will leave it online and delete it later tonight.

(Reuters) – Confronting a huge and growing power crisis, China faces a painful choice: either allow a summer of blackouts or swallow a dose of inflation.
The shortage, which has brought electricity cuts for big power consumers and a spate of emergency measures, was avoidable and foreseen by many economists and analysts.
It is not that China lacks the generation capacity to meet demand. Instead, analysts point to a lopsided electricity sector in which government controls starve producers of price rises so that manufacturers can guzzle cheap power.
That has created the worst power shortage in seven years as producers restrict output to make ends meet. The shortage is set to worsen as electricity demand rises during the peak summer months just as hydropower capacity has been hit by drought.
