This section of the site will be used as an archive for Broker-notes. There are literally thousands of them floating around.(It’s impossible to get every single note ever issued so we’ve published a selection SENT IN. If you want to contribute any notes on companys that you are researching then do please forward them to the site admin) While they do serve a purpose & contain factual information on company history etc Private Investors need to treat them with caution they should not be relied upon as independent. Usually the Brokerage has a relationship with the company written about. Genuine independent research/analysis cost tens of thousands of pounds. Brokerages do not release it for free to the great unwashed! That’s not to say that they should be dismissed. Private Investors should learn to sort the wheat from the chaff. Broker-notes can be helpful & give an insight, once the Private Investor has worked through them.
Treat them with caution. Use them for research purposes only & remember to check to see if the Broker-note issued is actually the company Nomad/Broker or has an affiliation with the company. Under market rules this has to be disclosed on the note. (Usually in the footer of the note)
