Well it’s been a truly fantastic journey here.

NPE have excelled at finding more oil than I care to remember however there comes a time when one (me) has to bid farewell to Nautical.

Yesterday I sold 15,000 shares at 477p  (approx 350% gain) keeping 2000 as a totally free carry.

I did sell stock last year at just over 300p another 15000 in two lots  (approx 200% gain).

Nautical have been very good to me and I know they will certainly rise more over the coming months. A purely personal decision on my behalf. The pressure of holding out was becoming unbearable my sanity was on a knife-edge. A 350% gain began to weigh on my mind. You all know the usual doubts that creep in it was a battle to hold them for as long as I did.

Now I have strengthen’d my cash position and banked the … read more

There’s been an awful lot of requests for updates and whispers on the North sea oil explorers Encore, Xel,Nautical,Premier.

The race has been run and it’s all but won.

At this present time I am focusing my attention on other oil  sectors particularly Eastern Europe. Where news is being sourced re’ several companies. These things take time and trust has to be built up with contacts /sources/Industry thinkers. I am planning (provisionally) a trip to Russia on a fact-finding mission.

I think it’s safe to say that XEL,ENCORE,NAUTICAL and dear old PREMIER are all safe bets for future growth and the risk has all but evaporated on these four company’s. In fact it’s safe to say that the risk is now minimal.

It’s been a fantastic success for the Blog and I know that there are many out there who have benefitted from its opinions. Stats … read more

Yes most of you out there will remember Daniel informing the general internet watchers of this stock some time back that Celtic were almost certain to buy back in to Kraken. This snippet of opinion was based on many sources from within the city and the general consensus at the time was that it would make “good financial sense for Celtic”. I do recall that the numpties over on the boards yet again huffed and puffed trying yet again to pour scorn on the Blog’s opinion. Well now Celtic have bought back in and Nautical have received a premium! So lets just see the back-peddling now. I can almost hear these fools double speaking telling every one that it was obvious etc etc. You Numpties!

Always research your investments and let that be a lesson to the world in general. Never listen to Numpties!

Laughing all the way to the … read more

You’ll all recall how the blog foretold the news about how these three company’s were destined for greatness.

Well it seems with all the news we have passed on that things here have come to a lull news wise that is. Premier’s share price has slowly trended up as the whisperings of takeover and increased production begin to slowly gather momentum. I’ve held Premier through thick and thin since they were sub £10 and have been tempted many times to sell them however the urge has been resisted (with great difficulty) and I must say that time has proven to be right.

Nautical are in a similar situation to the way Premier were several years back there’s no doubt that as foretold here that they are destined for great things and are well on course to becoming a major player in the UKCS. Their sp has increased many-fold since we … read more

Just a quick note from Edison for general informative purposes.

EDISON UPDATE 29/Oct/2010

http://ltsbcf.co.uk/

On all measures Nautical has had a stellar last six months. An oil discovery at
Catcher, a successful £28.8m fund-raising (after expenses), the restructuring of the
shareholder register, the successful appraisal and exploration well at Kraken and the
crystallisation of value through the sale of a 20.7% stake in Mariner to Statoil for
£85.5m have all led to the sixfold increase in share price. Further upside potential
may come from a) a successful drilling campaign in the Greater Catcher area, b) a
resources update at Kraken and c) developing further exploration upside from
existing and new blocks. The award of blocks 9/1 (100% WI) to the west of Kraken
and blocks 8/15 and 9/11d (6% WI) to the west and north of the Mariner discovery in
the 26th Licensing Round are valuable additions to areas … read more
