There’s been an awful lot of requests for updates and whispers on the North sea oil explorers Encore, Xel,Nautical,Premier.
The race has been run and it’s all but won.
At this present time I am focusing my attention on other oil sectors particularly Eastern Europe. Where news is being sourced re’ several companies. These things take time and trust has to be built up with contacts /sources/Industry thinkers. I am planning (provisionally) a trip to Russia on a fact-finding mission.
I think it’s safe to say that XEL,ENCORE,NAUTICAL and dear old PREMIER are all safe bets for future growth and the risk has all but evaporated on these four company’s. In fact it’s safe to say that the risk is now minimal.

Premier oil! What a month it’s been.
With a stock value that has been increasingly focused on by the markets here in London. Premier Oil are set to break £20 once again yes that’s twenty pounds.
Only as recently as 2009 they were changing hands at a lowly 7/8 pounds which even then some were thinking was just too high an entry point in a global meltdown. Currently they are on track for a 5 year high with takeover rumours, asset sales, ongoing oil discoveries and new licence awards. Director buys, institutional investors etc Premier have got the lot.
The management is a shining example of how an oil E+P company should be run. I do have stock here and have held through thick and thin always concentrating on the fundamentals and good management practice when I have been tempted to sell. Keeping the focus while all around you are … read more

You’ll all recall how the blog foretold the news about how these three company’s were destined for greatness.
Well it seems with all the news we have passed on that things here have come to a lull news wise that is. Premier’s share price has slowly trended up as the whisperings of takeover and increased production begin to slowly gather momentum. I’ve held Premier through thick and thin since they were sub £10 and have been tempted many times to sell them however the urge has been resisted (with great difficulty) and I must say that time has proven to be right.
Nautical are in a similar situation to the way Premier were several years back there’s no doubt that as foretold here that they are destined for great things and are well on course to becoming a major player in the UKCS. Their sp has increased many-fold since we … read more

Markets are expecting “More good news” as a follow on from Encore’s Cladhan drill. I can’t nail it down as it’s what is known here in the city as Raw Data; ie speculation. Leaks.
Though i note that Nautical are also on the increase on a combination of upgrades and expectation on Catcher/Kraken.
Could be that news on Encore is being linked to Nautical/Sterling,Wintershall/Premier just to many partners to pin down.
Rns alerts have been placed on Encore, Nautical & Premier could be a press leak expected over the weekend which if happens would force one of the above to release information.
As to what may or may not be in that information take a guess?
