Well I’ve had feelers out here all yesterday and it is still looking grim re’ the recent bad news. But being a fair-minded Blog and understanding that an awful lot of people are invested here and it would give me great pleasure if SEY actually had a strike because lets face it if there was ever a company that really needed some good news SEY are that company! So there are a few crumbs of comfort here!

I’ve spoken to a colleague with a lot more understanding of technical problems encountered on drill sites than me and she is of the opinion that the operation to eliminate the pressure build up at the surface with the flushing out of the hydrocarbon build up via a circulation method is  “proven corrective procedure” for these types of problems as for the drill pipe and the bottom hole  assembly she tells me that … read more

You’ll all recall the blogs musings on poorly managed Sterling.

Here we go again more misery for share-holders as they release another RNS telling the market of further bad news!

Alistair Beardsall’s( just like his predecessors) tenure has now come to an end after a stewardship that has failed on all fronts. Yet still dear old Alistair is staying on not as one would think to help and assist SEY to improve share-holder value but more in line with keeping his lucrative pay and perks!

The poisoned chalice has now been handed over to Angus MacAskill the new CEO. New improved CEO same shape, same colour, same company with a lower price and  a different name to add to the misery. How long before Angus releases further bad news?

It’s a right Carry on here!

Stay well away from this lot there’s more bad news on the way!

Hola!

Iraq Through Investors’ Eyes: Perspectives on risks and rewards

Against a backdrop of difficult political and economic transitions, Iraq is once again opening its doors to foreign business. Decades of war, sanctions and hardship have left the country with a devastated infrastructure, and the government is looking to foreign investment and expertise in its bid to rebuild and expand.

One legacy of the long years of Iraq’s isolation is that information, beyond news journalism, is sparse. Companies wishing to consider investment in Iraq often do not have sufficient information required to make informed decisions. This white paper goes some way towards filling that gap by highlighting the current experiences, hopes and concerns that companies have regarding the business environment in Iraq. It is based on a programme of desk research, a survey of 367 senior executives, and 13 in-depth interviews with business … read more

I cannot believe the amount of emails currently piling up in the blog’s in-tray vis-a-vis Sterling and a good entry point. There are many investors who if they carry on here will be carried away by “the men in white coats” currently reports of an increase in white hair happenings are unconfirmed.

The penny just doesn’t seem to of dropped with some investors.

Sterling Energy have consistently failed to deliver share-holder value over many years. Research their track record. Share dilutions ,share consolidation, broken promises of a return of funds and down right sharp practices particularly regarding the sale of the USA assets which were deliberately stalled until they had rinsed stock-holders out of many millions of pounds via the shotgun fund-raising. “Coincidentally” the USA asset sale went through just after the completion of the fund-raising  increasing the company’s capital.

Sterling used to be led by the aptly named DICK … read more

SEY are and always will be a poorly performing oil explorer as evidenced by their track record which is utterly abysmal! This blog has once again called it spot on! No doubt their share price will recover in time but as posted on here if they manage to hit the oily stuff once in profit “get the hell … read more
